Why a cashflow forecast is important
If your business runs out of cash you may struggle to find additional finance to keep it solvent. A cashflow forecast helps predict future cash shortfalls so you can make any necessary financial arrangements in advance.

A forecast also allows you to manage, adjust and take steps to strengthen the flow of cash in your business. For example, improving your debt collection policy can shorten the period between making a sale and receiving payment.
